De Historiske Sees Revenue Nearly Double Since Choosing Sabre Hospitality Solutions as Marketing Provider

Norwegian hotel group’s room nights and revenue per booking increase dramatically following switch to Guest Connect booking engine
SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Oct. 21, 2009 – At a time when the hospitality industry has been waiting out a recession, De Historiske – Hotels and Restaurants group of Norway has been busy celebrating its biggest-ever increase in online revenue. The Norwegian group switched to SynXis, a key component of Sabre Hospitality Solutions that provides global distribution and Internet marketing solutions, and its Guest Connect booking engine in January of 2009. Since making the switch, De Historiske has watched their online booking revenue double in the first half of 2009 compared to same-store-sales from the previous year. De Historiske has also reported an increase of nearly 80 percent in the number of room nights booked at their properties from January to August 2009 compared with the same period prior year.

SynXis' Distribution Marketing Solutions Help WestCord Hotels Launch New Brand

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, 29 Sept. – WestCord Hotels, a collection of 12 unique properties located throughout the Netherlands, recently took the bold step of launching their own hotel brand instead of continuing to rely on a third party management company for their branding, distribution and marketing services. For distribution technology and marketing expertise WestCord Hotels turned to SynXis, part of Sabre Hospitality Solutions, to provide a complete hotel distribution, Internet marketing and channel management solution. The chain will switch all of their properties to SynXis’ RedX Distribution Management System for distribution across multiple channels.

Japan's Largest Global Hotel Chain, JAL Hotels, Switches to SynXis for Complete Distribution Services

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, 24 Sept. – JAL Hotels, the largest global hotel group in Japan, has switched its NK chain code and its 58 hotels to the SynXis RedX Distribution Management System for seamless connectivity to the Global Distribution Systems (GDS), Internet Distribution Systems (IDS), and bookings coming from their brand website (www.jalhotels.com) using the Guest Connect booking engine in multiple languages including English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean. JAL Hotels will also use SynXis voice services in more than a dozen languages including Arabic, to address their rapid expansion plans in the Middle East.

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, 01 September – In a recent viral campaign to promote tourism to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands, Tourism Queensland awarded one lucky winner the “job” of living on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef for six months, in exchange for him blogging about his experiences and acting as an ambassador for the beautiful region. After the campaign’s huge success, Hamilton Island turned to SynXis for its technology and expertise to manage and streamline the distribution of its hotel inventory. Since its introduction in February this year, website bookings have increased more than 50 percent over the same period as last year and conversion rates have gone up over 85 percent with the new booking engine.

SynXis can now connect its more than 10,000 hotel customers to either Expedia QuickConnect, a hotel reservation system interface through which hotels can easily automate the exchange of room, rate and booking information with Expedia, Inc. sites worldwide or Expedia Connect, Expedia’s solution for large hotel chains.
